Jessica Weyreuter

Jessica Weyreuter was born in Germany and raised in Argentina. As a former WTA Tour player, she was provided the opportunity to come to the USA on a full tennis scholarship. After becoming aware of of the challenges faced by people with special needs; she wanted to create a way to share access to the sport she had found so transformative in her own life to those with disabilities. This vision became what is known today as “Dream Court.”

Jessica’s goals are to create opportunities and communities for people with special needs, along with fostering awareness, respect and inclusion. It is with great joy that she serves her community using her unique gifts.

Radney Ramsey - President

Radney Ramsey is a longtime Montgomery resident who graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in marketing and has successfully worked in sales since 1988.

Radney became involved with Dream Court through his twin sons, Hawthorn and John Bushman, who volunteered as coaches and unified partners during their high school years. His love for those with disabilities, however, was instilled in him through his mother’s work in the State of Alabama Special Education Department.

Keenly aware of what “going the extra mile” can accomplish and personally witnessing the power tennis has to improve people’s lives, Radney has graciously joined the group effort of the Board of Directors in 2021, supports the organization financially, and “spreads the good news” among his many friends in the River Region.

Duncan McRae - President Elect

Duncan practiced general surgery in Montgomery until 2014 at which time he retired from surgery. He continues to teach students at the Montgomery regional Campus of UAB Medical School.

He enjoys tennis, continues to play regularly, and has supported Dream Court with his time and finances for the past 10 years. Moreover, he was a wheelchair coach during the All-Comers Camp and put in much effort for Dream Court’s master class.

Duncan and his wife Jeanie have lived in Montgomery for 42 years where they have raised two daughters and welcomed 5 grandchildren.

Stephanie Peavy - Immediate Past President

Stephanie Peavy was born and raised in Montgomery, earned a business degree from Huntingdon College, and has had a long and successful career in banking.  She currently holds the position of Vice President of Treasury Management at River Bank & Trust.

Stephanie began volunteering with Dream Court in 2015, putting her administration skills to use to keep Dream Court organized, using her tennis skills to coach our athletes, and sharing her bubbly personality to encourage everyone while playing Unified Doubles.

Stephanie joined the Board in 2017 and loves being a part of a growing organization. We are blessed to have someone with her financial experience, tennis skills, and desire to serve the special needs community on our team.

Cameron Espy – Marketing

Cameron was raised in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, but has called Montgomery home for the past 20 years. She works as the Director of Public Relations for the Alabama State Employees Association.

Cameron initially became involved with Dream Court through her daughter, Lulu. She increased her commitment by helping plan the trip to the 2019 US Open, and joined the Dream Court Board in 2021. She enjoys volunteering and spending time with our athletes.

Serving on the Board is her way of giving back, making a difference in other people’s lives through the game of tennis. Thanks for all you do for Dream Court.

Jason Farley - Program Committee Chair

Jason Farley is a native Alabamian who resides in Pike Road with his wife and two kids, and works as the Director of Sales Southeast Region at Kowa Pharmaceuticals America.

Jason became involved with Dream Court as a volunteer coach in 2020, joined the Board in 2021, and today fills the important role of Programming Committee Chair.

As a former tennis Head Pro, member of Professional Tennis Registry, and a former member of the USPTA, Jason has extensive experience coaching athletes of different skill levels and ages, as well as vast interpersonal communication and relationship knowledge. He has been a tremendous asset to our program on and off the court and we greatly appreciate his service and loyalty to our program.

Jewell Cobb Pitts – Secretary

Jewell is a native of Montgomery, graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana, and worked for 40 years in the Division of Developmental Disabilities of the Alabama Department of Mental Health. Mrs. Jewell is “OUR JEWELL”. Every program needs a person with her spark, energy, commitment, compassion, and devotion. She is irreplaceable and we are extremely fortunate to have her.

Jonathan Broadway - Programming Committee

Jonathan was raised in Pike Road, Alabama and has worked for the Alabama Department of Transportation since 2017.

After having a spinal cord injury in 2018, he joined Dream Court wheelchair practices in 2020, quickly falling in love with the game of tennis and the surrounding community.

In 2022 he started giving back as a coach and spreading the word on social events. Jonathan is the first Dream Court athlete to join our Board. We greatly value Jonathan’s contributions to our program.

Ruth Brewbaker – Programming Committee

Ruth Brewbaker is a native of Montgomery who earned her bachelor’s degree at Belhaven University and completed graduate school at Auburn University at Montgomery. Currently, she works as the Assistant Director of Children’s Ministry at Christchurch Anglican.

She and her husband, Dick, have five sons, including Ben who was born with spina bifida. Having Ben in their family and seeing the great need in our area, has encouraged Ruth to be involved in several ministries and organizations who serve those touched by disabilities.

Ruth and her husband have supported Dream Court financially and through their time since its inception, and their son Ben has participated in our program for almost a decade. The whole family has seen Dream Court evolve over the years, both mourning our losses and rejoicing in our accomplishments. Naturally, it seemed like a great fit for Ruth to join our Board of Directors, and we have been blessed by her decision to come on board. We look forward to more of her input, her grace, her prayers, and her unconditional support for the special needs community.

Spud has been a tremendous addition to our Board since 2021. He has taken his responsibilities very seriously, proved to be a great listener, made time to be a problem solver, and always found ways to be a peacekeeper. We appreciate Spud’s dedication to the growth and sustainability of our program.
